Little Wild Things - Arts & Nature summer camp
"Our little wild things will join artist Anna Rosenfelder and Airfield guide
Roman Semenyuk for a week of creativity, nature and adventure. Every day
will be filled with stories, nature trails and art activities as they explore places where lots of other little wild things live."
The little Wild things summer camp idea has been developed from previous similar summer camps at Airfield. Whereas during the last years, the camps at Airfield , an urban farm, where mostly organized and facilitated by "external" artists, this year sees the artists being teamed up with Airfield staff- thus allowing for an exchange of skills between artist and guide, who will have a much more in depth understanding of the place - the nature and farmland at Airfield.
Also strong collaboration with theparallel summer camp ("Wild things", for older children, with environmental and textile artist Jane Groves and Airfield guide Astrid Lim ) is anticipated, and the participation of Airfield´s farmer (who ll need some help collecting eggs in the mornings..) and Airfield´s gardener .
At the end the week, the two summer camps will celebrate together- the older group will cook a wild garden meal for our group, whilst the "Little wild things" will prepare a story to be told- in words, song and images.
