Helen Barry (BA Fine Art) is a visual artist who engages in a collaborative practice with early years children. Barry has over 25 years experience working with children and adults through the arts and creative play. Her studio work uses sculpture, construction, printmaking and drawing to explore the iconic architecture of buildings and spaces where communities and individuals come together for reflection, prayer and a sense of belonging. Many of Barry’s ideas are processed through innovative workshops with early years children. Child centered the workshops investigate and challenge Barry’s ideas, offering new approaches to work she is creating at the studio whilst creating new and ambitious works together with the children.
