Background

Graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design and spent a number of years working in a public and community context both in UK and Ireland as a visual artist.  In her current position as Education & Community Coordinator with West Cork Arts Centre she has developed and managed numerous projects with an emphasis on forging local, regional and national strategic partnerships.

Professional Statement

Participatory Policy To devise and implement an arts programme which encourages a balanced and complementary relationship of creative exchange between artists and participants. To empower participants of all ages and experience to access and engage with the arts and the Arts Centre through sustainable participation programmes which are community-based and which reflect the needs and interests of the participants. To develop new audiences for the arts, by increasing access and creating opportunities for artists and community to interact and for meaningful exchange to take place. To develop community-based partnerships and form effective policy, support and inform, improve structures, provide access to information and pursue quality and innovation in relation to local arts practice.
