Professional Statement

Sharing my love of theatre with people is one of my greatest pleasures in life. This was why we started the Wonderland children’s workshops arm of our theatre production company in 2005 and it has been thriving ever since, with week long workshops scheduled at more than five regional Arts Centres for 2012. I have been teaching since I was a teenager and have taught drama and art from 3 years old to university level. I have taught in diverse places from being a Drama teacher at Our Ladies School in Templeogue to Srinakarinwirot University Bangkok & Patravadi Theatre, Thailand. Recently I have begun to specialise in teaching such areas as clown, comedy, directing and storytelling and ’make a play in a day.’ I am also a keen organiser and through my company can put together a week long workshop covering all aspects of theatre, in which I may lead a day or two but bring in professionals from other areas on other days eg music, opera, design, make up, hair and costume, lighting, puppetry. I also drive and am willing to travel nationwide.
