Professional Statement

My interest lies in creating projects, events, contexts that support my own professional creativity as well as the creativity of others. This work is informed by a growing train of thought about the importance of creativity to both personal wellbeing and productive citizenship. i am working with a number of ideas including Artsquad: a proactive youth arts `gang` that delivers projects to commission in a variety of contexts; `civic immune system`: a writing & research project developing ideas about new paradigms for authentic political engagement, working with ideas of Joseph Beuys; `creative citizenship`: reframing the creative act of contributing to the community
