The Department of Education and Skills has set out a Draft National Plan to Improve Literacy and Numeracy in Schools, entitled `Better Literacy and Numeracy for Children and Young People`, and is inviting suggestions and comments which will be examined by the National Implementation Group (established to oversee the development of the plan and its implementation).
