OPPORTUNITY: Call for artists - Kildare

EXPERIENCED ARTS FACILITATORS REQUIRED


Kildare County Council Arts Service are currently seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic, motivated and skilled artists to join their primary school If I had an Artist for a Day Arts in Education Programme 2012.


The Arts Service will consider submissions from all arts disciplines: architecture, circus, dance, literature, film, music, opera, theatre, visual arts, traditional arts, and new media


Aims of the programme: To support the established and emerging artist Achieving quality provision of arts and cultural services in the county Ensuring equality of access to and participation in the arts Encouraging awareness, education and development in the arts Interested artists should submit outline proposals with workshop plans for delivery in a classroom setting over one day. A facility to adapt and tailor to specific needs or offer a choice of formats or workshop plans is desirable.


Artists are asked to submit the following: C.V./ Artists Statement Outline of current areas of work and interests Documentation of work (up to 3 projects) Description of proposed workshop(s) with projected outcomes Any other relevant supporting material Fees: Artists are paid €300.00 per day, directly by the school on day of workshop This fee is inclusive of all expenses, travel, materials etc. The Arts Service will reimburse for specialist materials subject to agreement Further information: For more information and further guidelines please contact Brenda Brady, Kildare County Council Arts Service, Riverbank, Main St, Newbridge, Co Kildare Email: bbrady@kildarecoco.ie Tel: 045 44832


Successful applicants will be subject to Garda Clearance Successful applicants will be required to supply a Tax Clearance Certificate and Public Liability Insurance Certificate.


Applications should be submitted no later than 5.p.m on 25th January 2012
