Today going on the theme of transport we made cars,planes and boats out of card.then we made lip synk puppets. There was alot of coming and going in the classroom but it varied between having 8 to 1 and back again. we tried to link up but there was something wrong with the link so we watched beaumont and then the kids went for lunch. The fishing boat was a big hit and all the puppets cruised around in it it. Some of the day ward patients who i usely work with on there own came into the morning session which was great as they got to experience a different group dynamic.There was alot of play during making but i didnt capture that much on film.
After lunch i went into the playroom and worked with 4 girls. They made rod puppets operated from below with feathered skirts and they looked like dancers so they made a mini theatre out of a box and did a mini dance piece it was lovely.it was a really relaxed session where i also made a puppet while we chatted about the puppets, why everyone was there and just general chatting and i feel i really got to know them in a short space of time, the show naturally emerged which was lovely, i videoed it and will upload it when ive edited it.
