Project design & evolving research

The project design has included the children and staff in the research and design towards the outcome of the project. Knowing children and childcare staff need time to meet me and build trust this has been incorporated in a slow start to the project. But it is working.

I have requested the childcare policy and filled out a Garda vetting form.

I’m at week 3 in the project and it has already evolved.

The casual comments by staff about diversity, special needs, letting the child lead the learning, including the parents, can the drop in group of teens get involved, what about the after schools project - it all feeds into the solving and designing for an interactive playspace.

For the next four weeks we are going to run themed weeks looking at the four elements in the context of the childrens use of the outdoorspace.

I’m trying to decide the best place to blog, document this project and research.
