The Market, St Mary’s Senior Girls School, Dunmanway, Rang 7, Junior Special Class

Description

These photographs are of us dressed-up and pretending to be at the Market in Dunmanway a long time ago.

When we visited the Arts Centre in Skibbereen, we saw the people dressed-up like Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley. We talked about how we sometimes dress up at Halloween and pretend to be witches, ghosts and pumpkins.

When Tess came to visit us in school we looked at pictures of Dunmanway a long time ago and chose clothes and hats to put on to have our picture taken. We also chose other things to be in the pictures: a fiddle, a basket of straw and an old pipe.

Tess made the pictures black and white to look like old photographs and then we chose our favourites to show people at the exhibition.
