Description

The first stage of the project was a series of teachers workshops for teachers who’s schools had registered for the project. The purpose of the workshops was to explain the concept of the project to the teachers and give them a chance to experiment with the materials and techniques they might use in the classroom to deliver the project. The feedback from teachers primarily was that they had fun and it was so nice to have the time to just play around with the materials, and that allowing that time really gave them more of an understanding about what would work with their own group and what wouldn’t.

The teachers were asked to work with analogous colours, handpainted card, and rolling, folding and cutting techniques. All of the information was also made available online as a project pack for those who couldn’t attend the workshops and as a reminder and support for those who had.
