Interim thoughts

With the first eight week block of the residency complete I have been reflecting and searching for ways forward. There have been complexities with the working partnership with the teacher and working within the school curriculum which I have been grappling with. How large a role should the delivery of the curriculum play in the case of an artist in residence in a school setting? How do you communicate that the work in progress is complimenting learning within the curriculum and yet does not necessarily need to be formalized in the same way? How to you instill faith in the creative process and waver expectations of solid and continuous outcome from contact time, while simultaneously carrying out the residency, as this faith more easily grows in hindsight?
