Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process

One of the things we explored during the day was Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process. This is a four-step process, but we only briefly touched on one element of this which was about formulating neutral questions. We felt this was a useful tool, not only when critically responding to the work of others, but also when wishing to look at our own work with a more objective critical eye.

Members of the group were interested in the openness of the neutral question - inviting a more in-depth response from the maker in relation to particular aspects of work, but non-judgmentally.

The Practice.ie team hope to host a day, in which this process is explored in more depth. Contact us at info [at] kidsown.ie if you are interested in attending.
