  • Practice European Artists Network (Arts Council EU Local Partnership Scheme)

    Created 2013-01-22 by Practice.ie Team

Location: Sligo, Tallinn & Budapest - Co. Sligo

    Duration: 2013-01-22 to 2013-06-30

Project Outline

As part of Ireland’s EU presidency in 2013, Practice.ie is delighted to be teaming up with Sligo Arts Service and the Model to deliver this unique pilot programme which aims to develop a network of artists working with children and young people in Sligo, Tallinn and Budapest. Through this network, we will share and celebrate arts practice across Ireland, Estonia and Hungary and will research the needs of artists in terms of European connectivity and online supports. The project will begin with a residential weekend for artists in Sligo in January 2013 and over the course of six months, a series of online events and local hub meetings will take place with artists connecting from across the three participating countries.

The project will culminate in a showcase event at The Ark, A Cultural Centre for Children, on June 10th, which will engage the wider community of artists working with children and members of the Practice.ie network.
