The Shannon Banshee

Working with Christine today we have developed the story...there are strange marks on Thomond Bridge, like the scrapes  of a hand trying to clasp while a body falls....this hand is said to belong to the Banshee (in a previous incarnation a woman thrown from the bridge by her murderous husband, or a bishop, depending on the legend)
So the mermaid of our sketch animation has become the Banshee, and a darker story emerges.
The Banshee`s bridge is Thomond Bridge.
Our animation shows the Shannon flanked by St John`s Castle on the South side and St. Munchin`s church on the North, where we are based.  The Northside Digihub also appears below the red strip of New Road.
St Munchin is the little monk, an interesting character, Patron St of Limerick (and of the 2 local primary schools), an elfin personage and author of the "Curse of
St. Munchin"
People from Killeely have been called Munchins (the original of the Oz munchkins ????) and also Sodacakes, perhaps because of the women cooling their baking proudly on display in their open windows.
to be continued.....
I also managed to get locked in to the studio so all plots are beginning to thicken
