End of phase 1

We have reached the end of phase 1 and yesterday we celebrated with a cake and jelly party.
Our screening, initially pencilled in for 18th December, has been rescheduled for the 15th January. This is because he LIT theatre has panto pressures and the Digihub thought the end of term would not be the best date for their Showcase.
This allows us a little more time to get our movies ready. We are not exactly sure yet whether it would be best to present a `feature` showing the whole story, or to show it in episodes reflecting the way our story has evolved. When we make our website the narrative will be more intuitive, allowing the viewer to `research` the story following their own path. This is the work ahead in Phase 2.
Meanwhile we are continuing to think about our characters and how our story pieces together. My impression of Killeely/Thomondgate has been totally shaped by the Sodacake Story and I feel that I am entering another universe each time I approach the area. The blue uniforms of the girls are somehow threaded into the moody greys of our picturemaking. Our characters, witch, banshee, angels are archtypes stepping in and out of the story and exerting a strong influence over the sodacake characters, the whole story evolving around a wedding scene is very much a girls` world. I am fascinated by the pinpoint references of real place... the Treaty stone and locations close to the Digihub and how the `real` is merged with our own fabrications, Killeely has become a very magical place for me.
