Good Company
The first planning meeting of the Youth Programme subcommittee for Abhainn Rí Festival was a very inspiring affair. Facilitated by Rosie Lynch of Commonage, a very positive parnership was established between the various youth arts practiitoners in attendance (myself, Jeff Gormley and Rónán MacRois) and participants of Flash:Light Youth Collective (represented by Ethan Dooley and Marcin).
Abhainn Rí Festivall is an annual 10 day programme of events celebrating local heritage, art and creativity in Callan, Co Kilkenny. The festival programme is jam packed with events and includes something for everyone with an eclectic mix of exhibitions, performances, sports, talks, walks, workshops and a festival club. The Youth Programme subcommitte are designing an integrated approach to a variety of activities that will showcase youth talent in Callan.
