SILVER TREE: (directed by Giovanna Caire, Designed by Margarida Smith)
This is a first time theatre experience for very young babies and their carers. The story is based on the legend of the Ursitoarea fairy in Romania. I love the idea of passing on the heritage of our stories through performances and this particular show has been in Tunisia, Egypt and all over Ireland. Although it is stimulating to the senses, the SIlver Tree provides a moment of reflection to the adults present through a soundtrack that resonates with the past and through the fundamental questions it poses - what do we want for the future of our children and what do they want for themslves?
