Carried away

In order to root our characters in real place we have been exploring the environs of the digihub. Most of the group don`t play out much in this area so we are discovering the place together.  At the entrance of the driveway we came across a patch of greenery tucked away, and guarded by a very animalistic tree. At the centre of the garden is an urn which, far from having an abandoned air, seems to have developed a life of its own. In keeping with our pedestal Treaty Cake we took some shots where urn has become a plinth on which the Sodacakes can state their claim to fame. The power of the dolls` personalities was metered by the exhuberance of their makers, and it was interesting to see the colour of the Salesian uniform echoed in the cone bodies of the dolls, from where the uniforms once upon a time may have unwound, fantasy and reality are really beginning to intertwine!
We are now eight plus Mella and myself and, as our group is growing so the sodacakes are multiplying, we now have several distinct families including some oddball archetypes, including a witch, who possibly made her entrance influenced by the weather, the season and our dark and misty photography.
Locations for our story are unfolding and to date we have on our map St Muchin`s Catholic Church and the Treaty Stone, Thomond Bridge, St John`s Castle, The Mighty Shannon, The Northside Learning Hub + The Basement and the Secret Garden. To get a feel for the place I took a walk across Thomand Bridge to The Island Field where St John`s Castle sprawls and found an antique shop and some strange chimneys as well as The Other St Munchin`s Church. On the bridge I kept my eyes open for the Banshee`s marks but every nick in the stonework took on significance, I will need a guide.
