  • StoryLab for film research

    Created 2012-11-16 by Niamh Lawlor

    Location: Various - Co. Dublin

    Duration: 2012-11-16 to

Project Outline

Explore film making for children to expand and develop my work as an artist / puppeteer
Inform and inspire myself with research work with children with a specific interest in / need for story
Use regular blogging on Practice.ie to reflect on, develop and open the process to other artists

This will include - practical research with children in various contexts; discussions with colleagues re their experiences of the importance of story and what they have witnessed of their importance for children who might experience particular needs for, or benefits from, story as a form of transcendence or self expression; time working alone on experiments in response to this; reflective time, etc.

This project is supported by an Arts Council YPCE Bursary Award.

It is my intention also that the work will be supported by peer or co- mentorship, as has worked successfully for other projects in the recent past.
