Project Outline

Leaving Certificate Applied- Task Project

Students in their Leaving Cert Applied programme participated in their own art exhibition in December 2009. Each student created an original piece of work made from silk fibres and dried plant materials. The silk fibres were ordered from Tunde Toth from Kozo Gallery in Kilkenny. The work was created during school time and the exhibition was held in Tuam Public Library. Every student had their own role and had to write up a report on their task- the task was then assessed by an examiner from the Department of Education and Science and each student was interviewed about the project.
