Week 3, Warm and bright yellow, sun in the sky.
Description
The children helped to lift the sun and stick it onto the (still wet) blue sky. We added strips of red, orange and yellow crepe paper for sun rays. For this they choose paper from a pile, took it to a tub of water and dipped it in, then brought it to the picture to stick on. The process of selecting, wetting and sticking is another activity that it seems they would happily do for hours...It’s perhaps the fact it is a three stage activity that once they have grasped they are proud to show how able they are at it and love the repetition.
