Session 4 in Graiguenamanagh
In this session we were painting the air-dry clay portraits with poster paints, these will be coated with pva next session and attached to cardboard with speech bubbles around them. Some really colourful work, some a bit mad like the one who had hair painted over the face and decided that it was scared, they can think of a story for everything.
After break the class put together and made all their drawings and plans together as a sketch book, they seemed delighted to be called `artists`. I took another group of 5 and gave them a go on the wheel. This session seemed very quick and I have to make sure we have time to tie up all the loose ends in the next and last session.
The panels are still drying out nice and slowly to avoid cracking and the 1st batch of pots have had their first firing so we are on track for our mini exhibition in the school.
